NEXT LUNCHEON:
THURSDAY, DECEMBER 12TH
ROBERT RATLIFF
Co-Founder, You Gotta Believe Camps
LUNCHEON BEGINS AT 11:30AM THROUGH 1PM @ RIVER CREST COUNTRY CLUB
Robert Ratliff is the co-founder of the You Gotta Believe Football and Baseball Camps. He was born in Fort Worth and attended St. Andrews Catholic School through eighth grade. In 2003, Ratliff’s father, Bobby Ratliff, passed away, and he was raised by his mother and a community of supporters.
He played first basemen on the 2002 Westside All Star team that went to the Little League World Series, on whom the new film “You Gotta Believe” is based.
An avid sportsman, he played football, basketball and baseball at Nolan Catholic High School. Ratliff was recruited as a freshman to play quarterback at the University of the South.
He transferred to Ole Miss where he was a walk-on on the football team. He graduated from Ole Miss with a degree in managerial finance and went on to earn an MBA. He was also a graduate assistant for the Ole Miss football team, working with quarterbacks.
In 2007, while a junior in high school, Ratliff and his brother founded the You Gotta Believe Football Camp. It was founded out of a desire to give back to the Fort Worth youth community and in remembrance of their father, who loved coaching and believed that every kid deserved a chance to succeed. The organization hosts football camps every year in Fort Worth and Jackson, MS.
In May 2024, they held the first You Gotta Believe Baseball Camp at Westside Little League, which attracted over 180 campers. The YGB camps are focused on teaching young athletes the importance of faith and attitude, a message Ratliff is passionate about spreading. Since inception, over 3,500 kids have come through the organization.
Ratliff returned to Fort Worth and married his wife, Natalie, in 2017. They have two boys, Wyatt and Henry. He currently serves as Vice President of the insurance agency CAC Group while co-leading The You Gotta Believe Foundation.
