J.T. Spearman is an independent petroleum landman whose life and career have been shaped by both profound failure and the possibility of redemption.

J.T. began his career in the oil and gas industry at 22, working in the Permian Basin and building a foundation in the land profession. In 2013, personal choices rooted in greed and pride led to criminal convictions, imprisonment, and consequences that extended far beyond his own life. J.T. does not believe redemption erases those choices, excuses the harm they caused, or changes the past.

Instead, his story is about what comes after taking responsibility. With the support of family, mentors, and a renewed faith, J.T. began the long process of rebuilding his life and career – not through a single transformational moment, but through years of discipline, consistency, humility, and doing the next right thing. He eventually returned to the oil and gas industry, rebuilding his career and the trust of others one opportunity at a time.

Today, J.T. seeks to use both his failures and the second chances he has been given in service to others. His message is that redemption is not about outrunning your past or reclaiming an image – it is about allowing failure to change you, accepting responsibility for what cannot be undone, and faithfully choosing who you will become from that point forward.
